Description: Teramycin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic. Macrolide antibiotics inhibit the biosynthesis of essential proteins by selectively binding to bacterial ribosomal RNA. They work by facilitating the dissociation of the peptide-tRNA from the ribosome during the translocation process. Unlike many other macrolide antibiotics, its drug action lasts longer, partly due to the three amino groups in its structure. Teramycin can effectively inhibit Pasteurella bovis, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus sleep and Mycoplasma bovis, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma pneumoniae effectively in vitro.
[Indications] Used to treat and prevent bovine respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus sleep and Mycoplasma that are sensitive to Teramycin; Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida Porcine respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
